101 Thai Way
About This Spot
Stepping into 101 Thai Way feels like discovering a quiet culinary gem tucked just off the freeway in Cloverdale. There’s a warmth in the air that hints at home-cooked meals and a pace that’s unhurried yet attentive—an inviting spot where the hum of conversation blends with the subtle rhythms of a neighborhood restaurant that’s both familiar and a little special.
The atmosphere is comfortably casual, more like visiting a friend’s kitchen than an impersonal dining hall. It’s the kind of place where the staff moves with care and offers a quiet attentiveness that lets you feel at ease while savoring each bite. Whether you’re fueling up after a long drive or seeking a relaxed family meal, the space gently invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
What lingers most are the layers of flavors that reveal themselves with every dish—freshly prepared, thoughtfully balanced, never rushed. The comforting richness of a coconut-scented soup or the gentle heat in a bowl of curry comes paired with subtle nuances that speak to the care poured into each plate. Here, traditional recipes meet fresh ingredients in a way that feels both authentic and approachable.
Beyond the inviting food, 101 Thai Way offers a genuine warmth in the human moments: the nod from the server who remembers a favorite order, the friendly chat that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a welcomed guest. It’s a humble celebration of Thai cuisine nestled quietly in a small town, where flavors and friendliness come together in a way that’s quietly memorable.

Everything we ordered was made fresh . The food was very , very good ! Mama was fast to make the 3 different dishes our party ordered . Peanuts w/chicken so yummy . Tom Kha was very good , I ordered mine with out tomato and was no issue . This is a comfort food for me . I ordered this dish to take home with me but it never made it . It was so good I could not stop until I finished my bowl of soup , on the hottest day of the year so far I highly recommend this mostly take out but have some tables inside place as my new fav Thai food restaurant. Thank you 101 Thai way ! We look forward to going back .

Best thai food!! I stop every time I am driving up from San Diego. The papaya salad is excellent! All the Curries I have tried over the years are all good. I will always stop and enjoy!

Good Thai food. We have had better Thai food elsewhere, but this small restaurant in Cloverdale is a good option. The vegan papaya salad was our favorite. So tasty and authentic. The other two main dishes were Ok (eggplant and fried rice). I think the owner makes better authentic Thai food.

Five stars are not enough to express how amazing this place is. It exceeded all my expectations of what a fast-food restaurant should be. The team working here is operating at a 5-star restaurant level. The food is excellent, and I regret not taking pictures before digging in because everything was so delicious and meticulously prepared. The depth of flavor in each meal shows the skill of a master chef. I will return here to eat every time I'm in the area. I've saved the location to my map.

The name 101 Thaiway attracted us here and it was totally worth trying. The weather demanded us to have a hot Tom yum soup and some basil fried rice. Food was prepared fresh for our order and the lady who served us was polite. The tea quenched our thirst and warmed us for a good Thai meal. It’s a small place which is right off the freeway. Recommend it!

The restaurant is a hole in the wall, shares the parking area w the gas station. I was skeptical but all the review raving about the place was not wrong. Fried tofu was perfect toasted, firecracker shrimp was so delicious! And the veggies it laid on amazing. We also ordered a seafood plate and chicken basil. Everything was perfectly cooked. The flavors spot on. The owner was super nice, she said they have been there for 11 years.

The restaurant smelled wonderful as soon as we walked in. The staff was sweet and accommodating - They knew exactly how to make the dishes vegan and were happy to do so. We ordered the vegan versions of the drunken noodles and spicy fried rice. The food arrived quickly and both dishes were absolutely delicious! Portions were generous and there was plenty of tofu to make up for the eggs we skipped. The space was unassuming and cozy, and filled with cute plants. I asked if I could take a spider plant cutting for propagating in my home garden, and they kindly said yes! Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or passing by the area.

Visited here as it was the halfway point for the 5 hour drive home from my grandma's.Such a cool atmosphere, so many plants, so homey and comforting.noodles were absolutely delicious and the lady serving us was so sweet. Our food was ready quickly as well. Bathroom was clean, well stocked with nice hand soap, and even featured a plant. A very welcome change from the gas stations we had stopped at previously. I highly recommend :)
